Electrical Repair and Maintenance Company (ERMCO) was established in 1962 and was incorporated in 1970 as ERMCO, Inc. in Indianapolis, Indiana. ERMCO was established in Central Florida in 1986 while the Corporate Office was still in Indianapolis, Indiana.
April 1997 Scott Maddox took the lead in the Florida operations as Vice President of ERMCO Florida operations.

July 1 2002 Scott Maddox, President of Maddox Electric, Company Inc. purchased the Florida operations from ERMCO, Inc. Scott then asked Jim Maddox, past President and CEO of ERMCO Inc. from 1970–1998, to serve as Chairman Board of Directors and to advise in corporate financial
and business affairs.
The new company, Maddox Electric Company, Inc. dba ERMCO of Florida.
